I am Mara Diaz, a junior at Ohio University and starting in January 2017 I will be spending almost 4 months living and studying abroad in Spain. Here are a few things I think you should know about me:
1. I LOVE lists

Didn't see that one coming, huh? Whether it is to do lists, packing lists, lists with pieces of advice or lists about myself, I love seeing things organized and planned in a list.

2. I research everything before I do anything
​
I don't go anywhere unprepared. I have possibly read every article (and list) written about college students' study abroad experiences. I have articles from 10 ways to prevent jet lag, to 17 things you might forget to pack, to 8 epic European hostels.

3. I love to travel
​
I love learning new languages, trying new foods, meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and exploring new places. I find that travel gives you a fresh perspective on life when you return home. And despite my organizational tendencies, I love a good adventure!

4. I have never written a blog before
​
My secret is out! This will be my first time keeping a blog. That is another adventure in itself, but I am excited to keep all of my friends and family (and anyone else reading) updated about travels while I am gone.
